	Ascendance was composed suddenly in a moment of exaltation I suppose, as Dianne and I were , as usual, talking about spiritual "realities".... The harpsichord voice sound gave me such pleasure to hear as my hands wandered over the keys with pieces of themes unfolding and suddenly, as I was recording the play and without thinking, a theme suddenly materialised and lifted me up so I felt elevated as it rolled out onto the keyboard. The mood was one of intending for us to raise ourselves up to a level of release and spiritual fulfillment. Its about having a positive, focused and integral attitude.
