Many of
the documents and notes of this website were definitely posted when the site was being hosted by
Geocities for many years. Contemptuously most of them disappeared
from the online folders long before the Geocities site was closed
down. I could not find out why.
But I am making progress
toward finding any originals that may have survived the series of
mysterious "viruses" or trogens that targeted files
relating to Scientology and the Claire Pages in particular;
and selectively
corrupted them ON MY COMPUTER... on at least two occasions. It is
really cute to open a specific folder of files with the names intact and the
documents there... but all turned into scrap like they were
written in a scrambled eggs font. I learned a lot about
backing up data through this recurring phenomena.... which
seems to have stopped since WinXP, WinVista, Avira Anti-Virus and the evolution in ZoneAlarm
was released.
I also learned not to
have files too many levels from the root directory. Windows
can tolerate long file names but sometimes it gets away on
you. A file name starts from the root directory and includes
the names of all folders and finally the document or item.
When copying a folder to another location, the contents may
not be read and transferred by windows.
I think anyone who knows anything about Microsoft and the Windows
platform will understand the obvious security risks and though I
enjoy some use of a Linux platform, (and these pages can be viewed thus,) I am
unfortunately in love with windows... So I have to cop it sweet. I always
have a reliable Firewall and anti-virus program installed but there
is only so much one can do against the evil intention of the obsessed
and possessed...
until they burn themselves and each other.
I promise you the
Claire Pages has been the hardest site to complete and
update. It is torturous and fraught with dangers. Anyone who
knows about Australia's draconian "Privacy" Laws and other
supposed and possible government interests will understand
the paradoxical situation I am dealing with in the matters
of this website. I am not the best of whistle blowers, but
with a few million dollars protecting me I might be a little
more courageous I am sure. So if you have a few thousand
dollars to spare.......
